Rattlesnake trail to the top of East Camino Cielo. 4,500 total elevation. A great start to the new year!
On the way back down the trail I had the good fortune of seeing a bobcat! At first I thought it was a rock in the trail but when it turned and looked at me I quickly realized that rocks don’t move. Unfortunately it was in the shade so I was unable to get a picture. It sat in the trail and starred at me for a long time before darting up the slope. Maybe it knew I was looking for a sunny spot to eat my pizza.
Further down the trail I came upon a hang glider that had recently crashed into the side of the mountain. Fortunately he was ok.
It was a great day to be out!
